In the year 2020 a large asteroid narrowly missed a collision with the earth. Less than three years later, an international effort, led by the United States was undertaken to design and produce the Javelin AK (Asteroid Killer). The first Javelin was completed in 2025 with two more Javelins being produced in the following four years. Designed for quick launch and speed, the Javelin could either destroy small asteroids or change the trajectory of larger bodies. Boost and acceleration were provided by high performance chemical rocket engines. The space craft itself had both a chemical engine for speed and two Ion Engines for long range interception flights. The power for both the Ion Engines and LaserCannon were provided by a miniaturized fission reactor. Each Javelin AK carried (4) torpedoes, each with 3.4 megaton thermonuclear warheads which could be launched from two launch tubes. The flight crew consisted of a Pilot, Co-pilot, Navigator and a Weapons Specialist. Print in provided .slt orientation with raft and external support. Note: Rocket engines should be printed with full support and 30% or higher infill for best results.
