This is MOD0 of my "Open Source Gimbal"designed in Truespace (I have included the Truespace Scene file (10DEC13.scn). Also included an xl spread sheet for converting from Truespace units of measure to inches and millimeters.
The system is designed to be used with two of these slip rings:
And two of these servos:
The left and right side "dome" and "cylinder" components are identical. The spacers are designed to allow components to be fit and glued. All of the bolt holes are for 8-32 nuts and bolts.
I am printing it now on a Makerbot 2 with PLA. Will post build images when it is done. Comments and suggestions are welcome!
